2025 Windelo Adventure 50

The WINDELO 50 ADVENTURE is a perfect blue-water electric catamaran. It is an environmentally friendly, fast-cruising catamaran that performs well even when it is fully loaded for a blue-water adventure. It has a powerful rig, modest displacement, and daggerboards. Built with a focus on sustainability, this innovative catamaran incorporates recycled and lightweight materials for an eco-friendly construction. With a little effort in planning to avoid long motoring times, it is possible to leave a zero carbon footprint. The boat is equipped with: - 2 x 20KW Bell Marine electric engines - 5680W solar panels - 18kW diesel generator - Hydro regeneration that starts as low as 7 knots of boat speed. With this setup, even on cloudy days, there is enough electricity for domestic consumption and maneuvering in or out of marinas/anchorages without running the generator. The large battery bank allows for 4 hours of motoring at cruising speed without the use of the generator. Range can be extended with the use of the generator. The boat has sailed 9000 nm and is tested in various circumstances up to 3.5M waves and 50 knot winds. The inevitable problems and issues usually associated with any new boat have been addressed. The catamaran is well-maintained with sustainability in mind. The catamaran boasts a unique design with the helm located in the front cockpit, offering 360-degree visibility and excellent protection from any weather. This innovative placement eliminates the need to be outside in strong winds, rain, sun, or night watches, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience. The boat is easily sailed single-handed and perfect for cruising couples on longer passages. Refer to Windelo's Downwind Sailing YouTube Video for an excellent overview of sailing with all three downwind sails. The owners' version features: - A large athwartship berth aft - A bidet toilet - A separate shower forward on the port side While guest accommodations offer: - Two double cabins - A separate shower - A toilet room on the starboard side. The stern side can be transformed into an outdoor zone with a sofa, a removable table, and a drop-down platform, creating additional versatile and enjoyable outdoor living space. For optimal airflow throughout the cockpit and saloon area, all stern doors, front windows, and side windows can be opened. Additionally, the boat is equipped with air conditioning for added comfort during warmer conditions and a diesel heater for colder conditions. Fly screens and blackout screens are on all opening hatches and port lights. The main salon also boasts a UV screen and Blackout Screen on the main cabin roof. The main salon windows on the port and starboard sides have fly screens and accordion-style blinds. Blinds also cover the rear and forward cockpit sliding doors. This is not just a boat – it’s a bold statement for sailors who want to explore the world responsibly, without compromising on comfort, autonomy, or performance.
