Description

This highly sort after performance sailing catamaran is designed as a long-distance fast cruising boat. Catchus effortlessly sails at wind speed and is easily handled by two people. Her speed and comfort while underway, allows for safe and fast passage to your next anchorage. The vessel is well proven with seasons spent cruising the east coast of Australia numerous times, along with Pacific Islands such as Vanuatu and into Asia.

The original owners launched Catchus is 1999 and sailed her extensively throughout the Pacific.  Prior to selling Catchus, the topsides were repainted in Awlcraft-2000 in 2015. Around 2017 the second owner completed a full and extensive refit on the catamaran, upscaling most elements of the vessel, including the deck being repainted in non-skid, hard-top and deckhouse being painted, and the interior being completely stripped and rebuilt. Other areas that were transformed and changed include but not limited to: lithium batteries, solar and wiring; new windows and hatches, faring and repainting the interior; new plumbing; added the hardtop; mast fully reconditioned and painted, fore-beam rebuilt and re anodised, new tender.  Photos of the refit are available on request.  After we purchased Catchus, we repowered the vessel with two new 54hp Yanmar engines, completing her entirely. Catchus is shaft driven.

This galley up, three cabin owner’s version, offers wonderful comfort and liveability for long term cruising.  The spacious cockpit is excellent for entertaining, and the twin steering stations provide good vision forward.  The cockpit is enclosed and offers safety and security while underway.  The foredeck offers abundant room to lounge and relax while at anchor or under sail on those beautiful calm days.  Great locker space and storage for all the toys, sails, and everything you need to be self-sufficient while out cruising, with good access to everything.

The interior has a clean, minimalist feel, with a white, two-pack painted finish.  The internal hulls are clear of panelling and internal finishes, eliminating squeaks and allowing easy and quick access to fittings for maintenance. The saloon and cabins feel spacious and are easy to maintain.  The main salon ceiling is lined with a leather-look headliner, with LED down-lights, and the two forward hatches provide good ventilation.  The u-shape galley allows for practical and easy food preparation.  Plenty of cupboard and draw space for all your cookware. There is a brand new 3-burner gas stove top, a convection microwave, and a built-in BBQ in the cockpit.

The engine rooms, accessed via the aft bunks to keep the weight centered within 2.2 metres of the centre of buoyancy, have a sealed false floor, except where the shafts pass through. Through hull fittings for the engines are in a separate compartment forward of the engine rooms with access above water level. This allows easy cleaning of sea water strainers without getting salt water all over the engines.

Catchus was designed and built by an experienced team of professionals to the highest safety and quality standards possible. Upon viewing Catchus, you will not believe her launch date, as she presents as near new.  She has been meticulously maintained and is ready to go blue water cruising in comfort and style.  For specifications on the vessel please send a request through the website.
